Daveed Slim Briefcase Review | Best Bang For Your Buck?
Hey gents, today we are going to talk about this briefcase I’ve been using for the past month. I’ve been really into it and I think that if you’re looking for a high-quality bag, then you should check it out. So, Daveed came to my attention because I’ve seen it on Carl Murawski’s channel and I’ve seen it on the Modest Man.
I’m obsessed with this mid-tier pricepoint on bags. I’ve talked about that with my Satchel and Page backpack and this is really where Daveed sits. So, for $495, this slim briefcase packs a lot of value and that’s the same conclusion that Carl Murawski came to as well.
I unpacked a much larger bag of accessories into my slim briefcase because I find the slim briefcase really good for the forced management of my stuff. They have a really unique sizing. They have the usual small, medium, and large, but then they have a less-medium and a more-medium for guys who fall in between sizes. This helps guys get a really formed fit if that’s what you’re looking for.
The slim briefcase is really nice. It has space for a 15” laptop. It has plenty of organization for pens and other small accessories. The whole thing is done in this German-made bull skin leather, which feels soft and supple. But having taken this all over the place for the past month, I’ve realized that it’s very durable.
Obviously, with a bag like this, a lot of the expense comes in the raw materials that are used and you can feel every penny of the bull skin that is used. It doesn’t have the depth of richness that I talk about with the Satchel and Page leather, but Daveed has a different fit and finish where this will just look very good for a very long time.
To top it all off, the Daveed briefcase is finished with riri zippers which are some of the best in the business. They’re all handmade and finished. And talking about premium materials, they use really premium leather and really premium zippers along with great organization on the inside. They also do a really nice finish on the interior lining which is where some brands skimp out.
So, fully loaded with my laptop, accessories, notebooks, and everything else, this was eight pounds. You can probably stuff some more things in here, but the leather, for as soft and durable as it is, it isn’t as heavy as one might think, which is pretty nice considering some of my leather bags can be heavy even when they’re empty.
They’re also really nicely finished with padded handles. The hardware that’s used on the adjustor and the clasps are also all really solid. They offer each bag in a black, a brown, and a really interesting-looking navy.
I don’t think you can go wrong with Daveed. If you’re looking for a really solid leather bag that’s going to last for a decade, can be stuffed with many things, and likewise, still stay slimmed-down, then I think you should check out Daveed.
I think this is one of those brands that is really delivering value across the board and the slim briefcase is an example of that. They use some really nice stuff. Through their riri zippers, German-made leather, and interior designs, you can tell that these guys care about their bags and I love that about Daveed.
Until next time, gents…
