The Kavalier's 2019 Best Gifts For Guys Under $50

Hey gents, and possibly ladies shopping for gents. This is a gift guide for the best gifts under $50 which is one of just three gift guides I have. Links will be attached below so you can have over one hundred gift ideas if you’re looking to shop for the stylish guy in your life, whether that’s you or someone else.

The idea with this post is that they’re numbered from 1-17 so you can send this video to someone and ask them what they want and they can tell you, “2, 7, 12, and 15” as an example. This is all stuff I’ve reviewed on the channel or stuff I use in my life, so all of this is stuff I recommend.

Here’s a video featuring all of the items

1. Bluffworks Tees

  • We’re going to start off with Bluffworks t-shirts. The t-shirts are made of performance fabric which is moisture-wicking, temperature control, anti-wrinkle t-shirt. It’s great to wear on flights, at home--basically, anywhere you go. They have different styles and two different types of cut, a slimmer-cut and a normal-cut. It’s just an excellent t-shirt and I’ve heard nothing but great things from people who have worn Bluffworks tees.

2. Mack Weldon AirKnitX

  • When we’re talking about complete and total comfort, we’re also looking at the Mack Weldon AirKnitX. They’re worth every single penny due to the incredible feeling that is present thanks to their polyamide blend. They have excellent breathability, they last a long time because the material is such high quality. If you’re trying to get your guy to go beyond the standard boxer briefs and boxers, then AirKnit X is all you need.

3. Darn Tough

  • Number three on our list is Darn Tough socks. Darn Tough makes mostly business casual socks. They’re robust, they stay up all day, they’re made of wool, and they have a lifetime guarantee. They also have performance socks for runners and mid-calf socks who don’t like socks that go up to their shin. I can’t say enough good things about Darn Tough. They are one of the best underappreciated companies out there, so if you’re looking for great over-the-calf socks, definitely check out Darn Tough

4. Sheec Socks

  • So, I did a whole video on the best no-show socks and the one brand that I ended up trying after that video that I wish I put in the video was Sheec. They have an interesting composition with their nylon liner, some of the best anti-stretch fabric in the back, and cotton on the bottom making up the Sheec sock. It washes and performs really well. They’re great for loafers, boat shoes, sneakers, and etc.. They stay up on your feet and they’re basically invisible. If you need some no-show socks, I highly recommend Sheec.

5. Stitch Fix

  • The next one is a Stitch Fix gift card. I have been a member for four years and I have recommended it to countless guys. If you want to dress better but you don’t have the time to do it, I have found that Stitch Fix is the solution. Once you get two to three of their deliveries, you only pay for what you like and you send back the rest. Personally, every time I receive one of their deliveries, I end up getting everything in the box because I love all of it. Also, you’re getting a tailor who nails not just style but also fit. They’re really great at fitting the clothes to your body with every delivery. Overall, they’re great for men who just don’t have the time to plan out their outfits.

6. Bespoke Post

  • I’ve been a member of Bespoke Post for 5 years now. They’ve curated an amazing list of products and every month, they’re delivering a lot of value. Depending on the box, I’ve had their alcohol boxes, their cigar boxes, their outdoor camping ones. There’s a lot of amazing things that come with each month and I think that a gift card to Bespoke Post for $45-$50 will end up going a very long way.

7. Duke Cannon Soap

  • A $9 bar of soap might seem crazy, but not when the size of the bar is almost as long as my hand. I talked about this on my last gift guide and I don’t exaggerate when I say they smell really good. I’ve had Duke Cannon stuff for a couple of years now and putting a bar of soap that has a little bit of attitude--their designs and aesthetics are amazing!--is something every man will love.

  • $9 for the big brick

8. Rudy’s Pomade

  • I first received Rudy’s Pomade in one of my subscription boxes last year. I didn’t start using it till very recently, but it’s the first product for my hair that has fully satisfied me. Whatever it’s doing to the volume and the hold of my hair, it does it perfectly. I think it’s worth a shot for all you shoppers out there looking for new hair products.

  • $22 but it’s worth every penny

9. Grooming Lounge Body Wash

  • Sticking with the grooming theme, we have the Grooming Lounge Body Wash. If you don’t like to use bars of soap, this is the perfect alternative. It’s a great option for guys who want to take their grooming seriously because Grooming Lounge offers a wide variety of options for body wash, shampoo, and deodorant.

10. Matte for Men Moisturizer

  • Next up on our list is the Matte for Men Moisturizer. This moisturizer is one of the best things that I have found in grooming. The matte effect and the moisturizing effect have impressed me a ton. Furthermore, while this bottle is quite pricey, it will last you a long time. One bottle lasted me about five months but it can last even longer. This is the moisturizer that I keep buying more of which says a lot because I have a large collection of face grubs and moisturizers. So for a product to constantly deliver this value and make me want more really speaks for itself.

11. Stryx Concealer Tool

  • This is a discrete concealer tool that men can use on their faces, whether it’s for razor burn, blemishes, pimples, or eyebags. They have three different shades. I use the light one. I’ve used this in many of my videos throughout this year. You just can’t tell. So, if you’re a guy who has razor scars or any of that type of stuff, then this concealer tool is a really nice way to cover these things up.

  • Now, moving away from grooming and into more everyday stuff, we have the Dapper Woodworks Coat Hook. I talked about this in my other gift guide. They make incredible products and you can tell they care a lot about the style. Everything is handmade, from their tie racks to their pocket square holders. The coat hook is a great stocking stuffer and I use this coat hook for my coats every single day in the studio so check them out if you’re interested in a unique, small, but useful gift that keeps on giving.

13. Gerber Shard

  • Another great stocking stuffer is the Gerber Shard. At just $7, it’s going to be perfect for nearly any guy. You can put it on your keychain and it has a lot of very cool tools, whether it’s a bottle opener or a small knife to open packages. Having just a little addition like this on your keychain is a great option because you’ll never know when you need it. It’s going to be an amazing stocking stuffer for any guy.

14. Opinel

  • If you want to go into the more artisanal side of things, I have the Opinel Beachwood-handled knife. It’s made in France and is one of the things on my desk every single day because it’s great for opening packages and cutting through whatever needs to be cut. It’s small, sharp, and discrete but it’s also beautifully designed and historic. They also have larger sizes, but this one is also a great stocking stuffer that doesn’t go above $50.

  • $17

15. Kershaw

  • Speaking of knives, if you want to go a little bit more personal, Kershaw makes some amazing knives that you can also personalize and get some initials on there. I think a sweet knife is one of those things every guy should have in their arsenal and Kershaw really hits that point.

  • $40

16. Trade Coffee

  • If we’re talking about desk EDC, we also have Trade Coffee. I have gifted coffee subscriptions for years and I think it’s an amazing way to discover new brands, whether it’s for yourself or for a coffee lover. It’s always great to have fresh beans from around the world and I think that’s why Trade Coffee delivers at a great value. Think of Trade Coffee as one of those gifts where someone already has everything, but they haven’t tried this yet. Especially if they’re a coffee drinker, it’s worth them trying.

17. Clear Habits Journal

  • And finally, another one that came from my full-on gift guide is my Baron Fig Clear Habits journal done in collaboration with James Clear, author of “Atomic Habits.” They use high-quality materials to make the journal and they have two sizes. I love their big size which is $28 but you can also purchase the smaller size for $24. With the Clear Habits journal, you’re literally giving the gift of productivity. It outlines ways to do bullet-journaling, organization methods, and tasks. It’s helped me organize myself a bit more and I think it will help anyone who wants to up their productivity.
